Together, we can create workplaces where people feel supported, valued, and equipped to thrive.
About me
Hello, I'm Frances.
The name The Kettle's On Learning reflects something that's important to me.
Growing up in England, the kettle was always the first thing to go on when someone needed a chat, support or simply a moment to connect. I still believe that some of the most meaningful conversations begin over a cup of tea (or maybe in Melbourne a coffee!).
In 2019, my passion for workplace mental health led me to become an accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor. I believe that every workplace deserves the confidence and skills to support employees experiencing mental health challenges.
Combining evidence-based MHFA training with practical HR advisory services, I can help businesses create healthier cultures, stronger leaders and safer, more connected teams.
I'd love to help your organisation build the knowledge, confidence and culture that supports both your people and your business.

NEW - Mental Health Toolbox Sessions
Not every workplace needs, or even wants, a full Mental Health First Aid course.
Sometimes, your team just needs a little more knowledge, confidence and practical tools around a specific mental health topic.
Our New Toolbox Sessions are short, information sessions that are practical and tailored to your workplace. Sessions can cover a range of topics, including:
Recognising the signs of mental health and illness and having the conversation
Supporting an employee experiencing mental health concerns – practical guidance for colleagues, managers and leaders.
Mental Health First Aid and psychosocial risks – exploring how MHFA can complement your approach to psychosocial risk management.
Mental health awareness – building understanding, reducing stigma and creating more confident conversations at work.
Sessions are delivered onsite, with a minimum duration of one hour, and can be tailored to suit your team and the issues that are most relevant to your workplace.
Practical, conversational and free from unnecessary jargon, these sessions are designed to give your people something they can take away and use.
Have a topic in mind? Let's put the kettle on and have a chat.
